Change for Fair Trade Month in 2023
From 2023, World Fair Trade Day will be held in May and Fair Trade Month in October. This distinction allows us to better understand the differences between fair trade companies and products, as well as between fair trade and local purchasing. World Day, initiated by the WFTO, celebrates social enterprises, while the month promoted by Fairtrade International focuses on certified products. This approach expands fair trade by integrating local and equitable principles, thus supporting producers in Quebec and elsewhere.
